Dr. Pandian Vasant is an accomplished researcher and academician with 26 years of experience in the field of Soft Computing, Hybrid Optimization, Innovative Computing, and Applications. He holds a PhD in Computational Intelligence from UNEM, Costa Rica, an MSc in Engineering Mathematics from UMS, Malaysia, and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from MU, Malaysia. With an H Index of 34, Dr. Vasant has co-authored 300 publications in ResearchGate, including research articles in journals, conference proceedings, presentations, special issues guest editor, and book chapters. Currently, Dr. Vasant is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Energy Optimization & Engineering, and a member of AMS (USA), NAVY Research Group (TUO, Czech Republic), and MERLIN Research Group (TDTU, Vietnam). He has also been recognized for his outstanding contribution to the field of Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier) and has been awarded top reviewer and outstanding reviewer for the journal in 2009 and 2015, respectively. Dr. Vasant has held several academic positions in the past, including Senior Lecturer at Nilai International College and Research Lecturer at MARA University of Technology. He is currently a Research Associate at Modeling Evolutionary Algorithms Simulation and Artificial Intelligence (MERLIN), Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Dr. Vasant's expertise lies in Research Science, Web, dotNET, and iOS technologies. He has a strong educational background, having completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Intelligence from Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica (UNEM) in 2016, his Master's Degree in Engineering Mathematics from Universiti Malaysia Sabah in 2002, and his B.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Malaya in 1986. Overall, Dr. Pandian Vasant is a highly experienced and knowledgeable researcher and academician with a proven track record of excellence in Soft Computing, Hybrid Optimization, Innovative Computing, and Applications.
